Ministries We Love

People who do not think they can make a difference, never will.

Caroline and I believe that every individual can make a difference. Because of this we take time to highlight a few ministries that really inspire us.. We share them because maybe, just maybe, someone like you might want to partner with them in the future, or be encouraged by them to act or maybe even start your own ministry. Whatever the case may be, we believe in you.

YWAM Ships

YWAM ships has a dear place in Greg’s heart (after all, that is where his missionary journey began). Both YWAM Kona in Hawaii and YWAM Townsville in Australia operate ship ministries that are open to anyone who wishes to volunteer.

At this moment though, there is an opportunity to greatly help YWAM ships Kona secure a permanent home here in Hawaii. We’ll let the video do the explaining.

Willow International

Caroline’s heart lies with the trafficked and abused woman prevalent in every developing nation. With our upcoming trip to Uganda, Caroline stumbled across this ministry which has been placed squarely in the top slot of her favorite ministries.

If you, or anyone you know wants to work with post-trafficked woman, ministries like this are key players in saving woman from modern day slavery.

Social Innovation Academy

Ever since Greg returned from Papua New Guinea he has been talking non-stop about starting a training school there. His heart for community development, and his deep belief that Papua New Guineans can be empowered to do great things is largely what has led us to become full-time missionaries.

Again, with our upcoming trip to Uganda we have been researching organizations who believe as we do. Greg was practically drooling when he discovered what this Ugandan group was doing.

Gejja Women Foundation

One of the students who went through the Social Innovation Academy went on to start her own organization; The Gejja Women Foundation. This foundation has secured a place in Caroline’s top 5 favorite ministries.

This foundation empowers young girls and woman to make a difference. They do this by providing education support, practicing permaculture, they encourage and promote women-led entrepreneurship, and finally, they tackle the stigma regarding menstruation, removing the guilt and shame young girls often feel.
